- Age: The applicant must be at least 21 years old.
- Citizenship: The applicant must be an Indian citizen

- Background Verification: The applicant must undergo a thorough background check, including verification of criminal records and assessment of mental health.
- Character References:Submission of character certificates from responsible citizens in the applicant's locality is required.
- Physical Fitness: A physical fitness certificate must be provided to ensure the applicant is capable of handling a firearm safely.
- Educational Qualifications:Proof of educational qualifications should be submitted, including self-attested copies of certificates.
- Proof of Age: Documents such as a birth certificate or school leaving certificate are necessary to verify the applicant's age.
- Financial Status:Copies of the last three years' Income Tax Returns or assessment orders are required to assess the applicant's financial stability.
